Meet robin taylor, LCSW
My Background
I am honest with my clients in admitting past struggles with abuse. I found a faith based path to healing and wholeness that I want to share with you. Althouogh I am a Christian counselor, my education as an LCSW was in a secularly based institution (University of Central Florida). This background has provided me the kowledge of how God made my body and mind to function and the effects of trauma and ways to cope, grow and overcome. My goal is to help my clients live the life they have always longed for. To learn to thrive not just survive.
I have specialize in working with individuals recovering from childhood and adult trauma. Additionally, I have special training to work with First Responders.
My Services
I offer both couples and individual counseling services. Sessions can be either face to face in my Titusville office or via telehealth.
I also have experience working with first responders and extensive trainng working with this population. My experiences as a wife of a firefighter has given me a special insight into this profession and the challenges to family life.
My Approach
I encourage my clients to understand the affect that their past trauma(s) have had on them and take responsibility for their journey to healing. I use a variety of modalities, but primarily use emotionally focused therappy to assist my clients in understanding and expressing their own emotional experiences. With couples in particular, I stress evaluating and understanding the emotions and thought processes that are fueling conflicts.
